Why I Started This: The Connected Worker Conversation Nobody's Having
Three things inspired me to start writing this blog, and one big opportunity I see.
First, I'm energized by the potential I see when leaders truly invest in their workforce. While many organizations are still finding their way, there are fearless disruptors out there doing incredible work - and their stories deserve to be told. These pioneers are proving what's possible when we move beyond talk and into meaningful action that improves workers' lives.
Second, industrial workers represent one of the greatest untapped opportunities for positive transformation. We operate some of the world's most expensive and dangerous equipment, and I've witnessed firsthand the remarkable impact when we build the right solutions. The gap between current state and what's possible isn't a problem - it's an invitation to make a real difference in heavy, critical industries.
What ultimately inspired me to take action was searching "Connected Worker" and realizing there's a missing piece in the conversation: authentic voices from people actually doing this work on the ground. The practitioners, the problem-solvers, the people turning vision into reality - they're out there, and I know this because I am one of them.
It's time to have an authentic conversation about connecting workers, digitalizing our industry, and championing what's right for the people who make it all happen.
